Sonney L. Chong, DMD
Dr. Sonney Chong graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Before attending dental school, he completed his undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University. Although Dr. Chong has been practicing dentistry in the Sacramento area since 1981, he continually expands his education in the dental field. He has received advanced training in Invisalign® and Cfast™ orthodontics, and he is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Sacramento District Dental Society. Dr. Chong has been recognized by Sacramento Magazine as a “Top Dentist” from 2012-2018. His goal is to simply take good care of his patients in a positive and caring atmosphere.
Dr. Chong has lived in Sacramento since 1980 and has established a professional and community presence in greater Sacramento. He is active in the community in many capacities, from serving on the Cal Expo Board of Directors to being an active member of the Sacramento Outreach Community Advisory Board with the Sacramento Sheriff to acting as the Chair of CAPITAL (Council of Asian Pacific Islanders Together for Advocacy and Leadership).

Pamela – Registered Dental Hygienist
Pamela has worked as a dental hygienist for years, and are happy to have her join our Sacramento dental practice. She earned a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene with an emphasis in teaching and business from the Oregon Institute of Technology, and she completed her externship in Costa Rica. Pamela’s father was a dentist, and she grew up around dentistry. She worked at the front desk, then went to school to be a registered dental assistant, and alter went on to become a dental assistant, and later went on to become a dental hygienist. Pamela loves the wonderful team and stress-free environment at our dental office, and she enjoys being a part of making and improving healthy, happy smiles. A smile is one of the few contagious positive things in this world, and being part of that is such a rewarding experience.
Pamela spent part of her life in Eureka, California. She has also lived in Sacramento, where she met her husband. Their world revolves around their two elementary-school-aged daughters. Pamela’s hobbies include gardening, spending time with her family, hiking, camping, singing, wine tasting, and being a soccer mom for their oldest daughter.
Kim – Registered Dental Hygienist
Kim joined our dental team because she loves helping patients. She graduated in dental assisting, and in dental hygiene. She enjoys working at our practice because we have fantastic patients, and Dr. Sonney L Chong and our team are so caring. Kim works hard to provide individualized, high-quality care to each of her patients.
Kim is happily married and has two sons. When she isn’t working, Kim enjoys family time, exercise, and travel.
Patti has worked at our dental office since she graduated from Sacramento City College with a degree in dental hygiene. She truly loves this practice due to the high standards of care that is given to all patients, and our patients are considered friends. Patti is proud to provide optimal treatment with the utmost respect and concern for our patients. Our staff is like a family, and we truly have a great team.
Patti is married and has three successful adult children. In her free time, she enjoys sports, fitness, and being with her family.
Nicole – Office Administrator
Nicole has worked at our dental office in Sacramento since it opened! She started working for Dr. Sonney L Chong as a dental assistant and now works as our office administrator. She enjoys working at our practice because the staff works well as a team to help our patients receive the best care possible. Nicole works hard to ensure that our patients have a smooth, pleasant experience at our office. She considers this office as her second home. The entire team enjoys coming to work every day. Nicole enjoys getting to know our patients, their concerns, desires, and their family and friends. She and the rest of our dental team strive to treat our patients like an extended family.
Nicole has four successful adult children and six grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys remodeling homes, and she always has a project going on
