Delta Dental Insurance

To all our patients who have Delta Dental Insurance,

This letter is to inform you of a recent change in the Delta Dental Insurance Network.

It was a difficult decision for our dental practice, but we have made the decision to discontinue our contract with Delta Dental, your insurance company. We were concerned that the existing pressures from Delta Dental would begin to have negative effects on the quality of dental care we provide. We decided we could no longer, in good conscience, maintain a relationship with them.

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the perspective of our practice along with the massive increased cost of everything involved in the dental practice.

The good news is that you can remain a patient in our practice. All your claims will still be billed to Delta Dental as a courtesy for you. And we will work to maximize your dental benefits. Delta dental will now pay you, the patient, instead of the dental office. We will have different payment plans available for you to choose from to make your payment at the time of service more convenient for you.

We will be sure to provide you with estimates of your cost before going forward when you will be making decisions on your dental treatment.

Our Contract with Delta Dental will be ended on June 30,2022, and the new arrangement will be effective July 1st, 2022.

We have answers to some of the questions that have come up during this transition.

Q: Do I Need to change insurance carriers to continue seeing Dr. Chong?
A: Not at all! We are happy to process all claims for you. If you choose to change your
insurance, we can answer any questions about different plans other than Delta
Q: Will Delta reimburse me for all my fees? Will they cover all my treatment?
A: Since we will be “Out of Network” We will be submitting claims using the UCR (usual and customary for our area) fees. These are the same fee’s we bill all our patients whether they have another insurance or are private pay. We will maximize your benefits and make sure your aware of all fees before your treatment is started. Delta dental usually pays the claims 1- 2
weeks after submission.

If you other questions, we are here to help you. Dr. Sonney Chong, Karin and Nicole
